“Thine O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty. For all that is in the heaven and in the heaven and in the earth is thine, thine is the kingdom, O LORD and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of the, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.” 1 Chro. 29:11-12

The power of God is what gives God the ability to bring to pass whatsoever He pleases. God’s power is that which gives life and action to His nature. Without this power His mercy could be but feeble pity, His promises an empty sound, His threatening a mere scarecrow. God’s power, like Himself is infinite, eternal, and incomprehensible. It can never be checked, restrained or be frustrated by anyone. No matter how impossible the situation is, God’s power can change it in a moment. Psalm 62:11 says, “God hath spoken once twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.” God’s power can heal the sick, deliver the oppressed, set the captives free, mend broken relationships, bring deliverance from financial crisis, and causes the kingdom of darkness to be defeated!! God has made this power available to us through Christ Jesus. This power is translated into signs and wonders among men; 1 Cor 4:20 says, “The kingdom of God is not in words but in power. Jesus declared in Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” The manifestation which was proclaimed in Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” As God’s children we have power with Him by the reason of our Son-ship. Jesus declared in Luke 10:19, “Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” And after Jesus resurrected, he left the power of the Holy Spirit with the church. Acts 1:18a, “And ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.”

To access God’s power, you must do the following:

1. Be born again John 1:12
2. Know the word of God. Hebrews 1:3,
     Romans 1:16-17.
3. Praise and worship Him. Psalm 22:3,
   Acts 16:25-26.
4. Cultivate faith. Mark 9:23 & 5:28-30.
5. Pray. James 5:16b.
6. Fast Luke 4:14

This month has been declared our prophetic month of “I have the power of God.” Therefore let us consciously and purposely walk in this power so that we can have supernatural victories and successes in every area of our lives. May it be said of us this month “this is the finger of God” (Exodus 8:19) Amen!
