Divine Delivery
“Behold, this day I[a] am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed”- Josh. 23:14
Divine delivery is when God customized and crafted promises are brought to pass in our lives.
Whatever God has promised he can deliver. You can always take God’s words to the bank. Nothing can stop Him from bringing his promises to pass. The Bible says in Isaiah 55:11 “ So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” God watches over his word to perform it that is why His word is called the more sure word of prophecy (2Pet. 1:19). Joshua attested to this before the children of Israel just before his death that all that the Lord promised to do for them he did and no one word failed. As God’s children, we need to remind ourselves that our God delivers what he has promised and even though it may take some time he will surely do it. God through prophetic dreams (Gen.37:5-11) promised Joseph that he was going to become the leader of his family, although it looks as if it was not going to happen when his siblings sold him to Egypt, and his master Potiphar sent him to prison for the crime he did not commit, at last on his 30th birthday, God delivered that which he promised Joseph he became a prime minister in Egypt and a leader of his family and his brethren bowed to him three times (Gen. 42:6, 43:26, & 28). The Bible says in Gen. 41:46 “And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.” Indeed our God is a finisher! (Phil. 1:6). As Christian, we must learn to wait on God when it looks as if his promises are not forthcoming (Habakkuk 2:3). While waiting, the devil will tempt us to consider other options out of God’s will. This is what Sarah did after God promised her that she would have a son, while she was waiting out of frustration she gave her maid Haggai to her Husband Abraham, and Ishmael the product of this relationship is a problem that the world is yet to recover from. Patience is needed to take delivery of our promises.
The Bible says in Heb. 10:36 “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” Another thing we should not do is to doubt God’s promises. When God promises sounds too good to believe, we must not give in to doubt. God promised Zachariah and Mary prophetic sons. While Mary had faith to believe God and said “Be it unto me according to your word.” (Lk. 1:38). Zachariah doubted God and got punished for it and became dumb (Lk. 1:20). Other things to do to secure our divine delivery are
- Abstain from sin. Isa. 51:9
- Do not dishonor God. 1Sam. 2:27-30
- Be obedient to spiritual instructions. Josh. 6:2-5, 2kg. 4:1-7
- Know that your promises will attract enemies. Gen. 37:8
This month of September is our prophetic month of divine delivery and I see God delivering special packages of miracles, healings, favors, etc. with our names on them. The question is how many packages can you carry?
