2020 Our Year of Uncommon Exploits

2020 Our Year of Uncommon Exploits

But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits”- Dan. 11:32b

An uncommon exploit is to generate unusual results and great accomplishments. As Christians, we are to live a life of uncommon exploits in every area of life, full of signs and wonders. Life of uncommon exploit is a life of the supernatural where there is no impossibility.

Daniel a man who said these words in the scripture was a man that commanded uncommon exploits. He did not have a victim mentality (Dan. 6:38), he was a righteous man who knows when to say no to sin (Dan. 1:8), he was a man of integrity( Dan. 6:4-5), he was worshipped by King Nebuchadnezzar (Dan. 2:4-47), he was an academic (Dan.1:4), he was ten times better than his colleagues (Dan. 1:20), he lived his normal life not minding the gang up against him (Dan. 6:10), he became the prime minister in a foreign land (Dan. 6:3), he recalled and interpreted dreams (Dan. 2:24-49), he survived the lion’s den (Dan. 6:22), he had the spirit of God in him (Dan. 5:11-12). Since the secrets of men are in their stories, Daniel's uncommon exploits was a function of who he was and the knowledge of God that he had. Likewise for us to have great accomplishments and live in the realms of signs and wonders we must know who we are and have the knowledge of God.  Daniel knew he was a Jew (i.e. a child of God) and being conscious of this refused to live the culture and lifestyles of Babylon.  He continued to grow in his walk with God despite having a Babylonian name and serving with pagans under many kings in the kingdom. Moses could not deliver the children of Israel from Egypt until he got to know who he was and God.  The Bible tells us that when Moses was GROWN he knew who he was, a Jew and this knowledge changed everything about him (Exod. 2:11-15). Paul remained an ordinary Synagogue goer until he met Jesus. The knowledge of his new life in Christ with his knowledge of God made him manifest uncommon exploits in the kingdom.  To know is to have power, and to have power is to have exploits. God wants us to know who we are in him and to know him. In Jer. 9:23-29 God says he delights in people that know him. As God’s children, we are not supposed to be controlled by situations and circumstances but to control them by the knowledge of who we and God. A growing and ever-increasing knowledge of these two things will make us manifest the nature of God in us thereby generating exploits. Paul was a man that generated exploits in his life and ministry because these two things, he was practically taken as God in Lystra when the people shouted: “the gods are come down to us in the likeness of men” (Acts.14:11).

Paul revealed to us that the secrets of his exploits were in his insatiable quest for the knowledge of God. Phil 3: 11 say “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” Paul further said in verses 13-14 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”. The contrary is also the case if we do not know who we are and God we will be exploited, the enemy will make minced meat of us. In Hosea 4: 6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children”. This year has been declared as our prophetic year of uncommon exploits, we are not permitted to be exploited. The onus is on us to know God and who we are in him which is the source of our exploits.

Welcome to the year 2020, our year of UNCOMMON EXPLOITS!
